Good news... any self identified conservative such as Perry, should pay a heavy price when they embrace a progressive of any stripe. Senator colburn endorsed a dim Senator in another state (Mark Levin stated today) and gave him $250.00. Do you think that colburn gives a rats patootie if the gop takes the Senate? These people should be shunned and made to pay a price.

In early voting today I voted for Ted Cruz.

He has the values to defeat the Iron Triangle of the RINOs-—Liberal Agenda Media -— Democrats, the intellect to replace a retiring Justice of THE NINE SUPREMES, and the energy to outwork the lazy, liberal, liars in the US Legislature.

Have you heard any later news on why Perry endorsed dewhurst?

Just a guess, but if Dewhurst loses to Cruz, he will still fill out his term as Lt. Governor. As such Dewhurst would still be the head of the Texas Senate in the upcoming 2013 legislative session and control the legislation through the Senate. Perry might find it difficult to get any of his agenda through the Senate if he were to back Cruz. Again, just a guess!

Also some other Texas Freepers maybe able to speak to this better, but were Dewhust to beat Cruz and then win the Senate seat, Perry may get to appoint someone to fill the Lt. Governor position until the next election. That person would no doubt be indebted to Perry.

I hate politics. It may be as you say but I think it has become a royalty of sorts and I no longer trust any of them. It is the only proven path of sanity. Make every single pol EARN our respect and trust. I trust NONE of them at this point... not a single one.

I researched Cruz, and he never supported amnesty. Dewhhurst is a bald-faced liar.
