I had a co-worker complaining to me that her mother’s social security barely covered her rent in government housing; she didn’t receive much because she always worked “under the table”. When I responded that at least her mother didn’t have to deal with taxes for all of those years (including social security), she then reassured me that her mother was making ends meet by going back to work (under the table).
There was not a trace of shame or irony in this stupid idiot’s face during the whole conversation.

What was she receiving before her SS kicked in? You don't work under the table your entire adult life unless you are trying to hide something from the welfare office.
How did you control yourself during this conversation? I wouldn't have been able to contain myself.
She went from living on welfare (via breeding) to “retiring” on welfare. The co-worker was trying to do the same until welfare reform forced it into the workplace. She earns little because she merits little; she knows if she tried to bargain for better pay her resignation would gladly be accepted. No English skills, no work ethic, files using folders for “Mr.” and “Mrs.” instead of last names, etc.
He missed something. He said you can go to town until the kids come home at three. What welfare queen gives a damn about where the kids are and who they are with? The kids are a pretext to collect.
Did you ask her what she is doing for her mother? Did you ask her what she is doing to ensure that she didn’t end up like her mother?
BTW, when my wife works, we effectively pay $0.42 on the dollar in taxes, 28% Federal, 6% Massachusetts and 7.65% SS and Mediscare. (I know, there’s a temporary “payroll tax holiday” of 2%). This does not count the employers match 7.65%. So for every dollar net pay my wife gets, the government gets $0.8433.
Better title would be, “Obama’s American Dream”.
For one thing, she’s paying taxes (including social security); we also have a pension at my job.
As for what she does for her mother, I have no idea.
