I can understand why Bush said it when he did. Best not to wake up all the hydra’s heads before doing battle with it. Lull them to sleep, and aim for the heart. You can call it taqiyya American style, but the object was to the kill the hydra. The Eurostriches (great phrase, btw, whoever invented it) are trying to appease the hydra by saying “Nice hydra.
