Peres has an excuse in that he is almost 89. Plus, part of the job of a president in a parliamentary democracy seems to involve saying stupid things so the responsible politicians don’t have to. But when I think about it, that sounds like Biden’s job also.
Joe Biden keeps saying things that embarrass Obama. So long as he stays to that script, we’ll take him.
yeah, the pais cutter was religious.
Also an informer (a crime so bad, an extra blessing was added to the “shmoneh Esrei” [18 blessings] against informers, bringing their number up to 19). Also possibly a Nazi collaborator with regards to the Jews of Hungary (since Rudolph Castner had a sudden “accident,” we’ll probably never know), who together with Teddy Kollek saw to it that Eichman’s offer to spare Jews in exchange for trucks and other essential supplies never was heard by either the Jewish Agency or the British. “Religious”?! I might visit his grave if I ever need to take a p@#$ and I’m in the area.
