(Art.) McCain speciously asserted that the GOP conservatives had failed to cite “an action, a decision, or a public position that Huma has taken while at the State Department” that showed she was either “promoting anti-American activities within our government” or having a “direct impact” on harmful policies.

Members of Congress, outside a committee hearing, would be in no position to know, offhand, what advice, counsel, information, or service Huma Abedin has been giving Sec'y. Clinton.

Sen. McCain is deliberately, for oratorical purposes, proposing an impossible test of the congressmen's good faith. When in fact, on the representations they've made, they raise a fair question about Abedin's family background and connections.

I therefore conclude that Sen. McCain is speaking out of animus against the Tea Party Caucus members.

Conservatives are going through a long process of dividing the wheat from the chaff. So far it doesn’t look like there is very much wheat.
