I know there are similar memorials elsewhere for WWII vets; the simple fact is that nobody would have fought if they knew this was what they were fighting for.
As we’ve degenerated into a post-Christian socialist state, how many people are thronging recruitment centers to fight the secular crusade against Islam?
People know that the meaning of “the American way” has become so distorted that if we’re simply trying to shove “gay marriage”, abortion-on-demand, and racial/gender quotas on people around the world, then we have become the “bad guys” (from a Judeo-Christian, and historical, standpoint). Our dysfunctional culture certainly is driving our enemies to the recruiting centers, though.
