On the heels of a recent poll showing a dip in support for President Obama among Latino voters, the Romney campaign is out with a new Spanish-language ad pledging the candidate's commitment to finding a long-term, bipartisan solution to the nation's immigration challenges.
"As president, Mitt Romney will work with Republicans and Democrats to fix our immigration system, which is broken," says Craig Romney, Mitt Romney's son, in the ad, entitled "Nation of Immigrants."

Amnesty. Sure they’ll use words like “guest workers” or “non naturalized Americans” but the result will be the same.
Dumb move. This pandering will win few Latino votes and might well cost significant numbers of votes from conservatives who are sick of the pandering by Republicans.
"Our immigration system is not optimized for todays economy. The United States is currently excluding too many workers who will start businesses, create jobs, foster innovation, and help grow our economy."
Apparently, the problem is that not enough foreign workers are showing up .
" And the system for bringing in temporary, seasonal workers is so cumbersome and time-consuming, that too often an employer finds that harvest or tourist season passes before temporary worker visas are approved."
When we make it easier to bring in more "temporary, seasonal workers," where will they go when they need health care and who will pay for it? Where will their kids go to school and who will pay for that? How will we enforce the "temporary" part of "temporary, seasonal workers"?
I would like to be able to make the same assumption. But, even if there's not enough work, they now have to live somewhere and somebody has to provide their shelter.
According to his website, Romney thinks we need to import more migrant "temporary, seasonal" workers. That's because they work cheap and the state and local governments can pick up the tab for their medical care and education for their kids.
He actually admits that he wants more of them.
Real metal forks an knives?
A workable program could be designed, but I doubt we have the politicians to pass it into law and then enforce it. And employers should pay for some sort of health insurance. All these costs should be part of the production of the product and not shifted to the taxpayers.'
The ‘RATS and RINOS love to tell us that immigration is “broken” but not one of them has ever told us what is “broken” about it. If anything is “broken”, it’s the Federal agencies that are being paid big bucks by the U.S. taxpayers to enforce our immigration laws.
Perhaps we should emulate Mexico’s immigration laws. Synopsis here:
