Two nights ago I was flipping through the channels and landed on an episode of Happy Days which for those of you who just beamed in was popular in the 1970’s.

In this episode “The Fonz” was going to be baptized (1977).

What struck me is the end when the scene was in the church and the congregation joined in prayer and then sang invoking our Lord. I could not believe my own reaction of jaw dropping amazement to see this on a network show.

It reminded me of how far we have gone in the wrong direction when today not only would we never see a show like this again but what we do see is full of foul language, sex and anything which is against all that is decent and good.

The Happy Days reruns are on each night and I have been watching them, loving the simplicity and just plain fun which are the hallmark of the sitcoms back then. The wife says the shows are “dorky” and she is absolutely right but that in the end is what makes them so appealing to me.

Remember the Honeymooners? Same thing and those shows never ever fail to both make me laugh and feel so very sad for what we once had and have now lost.

Your right, we have lost a lot. Worse yet our kids and grandkids will never know what it’s like to live in a world where children were protected from evil. Now they have evil introducedto them as tolerance at school, on tv/movies, in music....everywhere they look . Note my tagline. When God is forced out, evil will fill the gap.
