Newt would be a good pick but I think he will go for someone else—They will be a former Governor and from the southern states. They will not be everyone’s choice but I tend to think they will be conservative to some degree. Someone who did well in the primaries would be good. A pit Bull is needed to carry the fight to the foe. I don’t see any republican women, save Sarah Palin, who could do this and she is toxic. Rubio is too much of a pandering choice—a vain attempt to get Mexican votes. Christie would be interesting—but he may well be better for another job. The Governor of Texas? Bobbie J.? A political animal is needed—and one that will make the Tea Party sing loud and hard and bring in the south.

No need for a pick from the South, as Romney will win those states anyway.

Gingrich and Perry have already shown weakness in speaking on the national stage.

Jindal is the only Southern guv that Romney might pick, because he’s suitably milquetoast but also ‘of color’.

“A political animal is needed”

I disagree. How about a guy who speaks and stands for the truth regardless of the political consequences? I think Romney and his ever shifting positions are enough “political animal” for me. I think you will find the GOP is full of “political animals”.
