Authorities in Arizona unearthed a sophisticated 240-yard drug-smuggling tunnel stretching into Mexico that included engineered support beams, lights and ventilation. The six-foot-high corridor ran from a store in an abandoned strip mall near Yuma to an ice shop across the border in San Luis Rio Colorado. It provided a direct link to the US for Mexican drug cartels. The Mexican Army also found a second, incomplete, tunnel under a bathroom sink in Tijuana that stretched more than 200 yards into San Diego, California. The diggers had not yet reached the surface when authorities shut it down.

This cannot be true.. in about 1995 or so Sen. Feinstein came to San Diego, and with a grand photo op over a huge tunnel that had been found declared that these tunnels were illegal..

El Colonel de la Policia, to El Padron del Drogos: “That’s a nicely engineered tunnel you have there. Beautiful structural beams! And that systemo de ventilacion... que magnifico! Be a shame if it were to be discovered. Do you have my bribe money? No? ...”

My apologies at being ignorant on how to post a link. But this thread made me think of this product which I wish I had to rid my property of unwanted burrowing varmints. If you hate varmints and love explosions it is worth copying and pasting this link. This would be a great fix for those pesky tunnels they keep finding.

Most domestic police dept. don’t have tracked APC’s let alone one with a flame thrower .
What they do have/get on short notice are tear gas grenades ,blue/silver tarps & a leaf blower. Cover the tunnel entrance with the tarp weighed down around the edges ,put gas mask , drop gas grenades down the shaft to the tunnel use the leaf blower to blow the gas down the tunnel.
Get on the roof with a set of binoculars & look for were the folks come running out of a building hacking coughing & puking & that is were the other end of the tunnel is .

We should’ve hired these guys for the ‘Big dig’ in Boston.

I think those come after the drones, snipers and ARs. In other words, wait a few more weeks; they're militarizing as fast as they can and budgets are a little tight.

Sounds like a great plan!! Should be pretty easy to spot, especially if you put some color in the tear gas!

The solution: wait until tunnel is occupied; pump in poison gas. Remove remains. Repeat as necessary.

Why foul the ground water? A few well placed explosives would do.But that would collapse the tunnel, and void the "repeat as necessary" action. Get a few, or get a lot a few at a time?

The profit motive at work. This will continue to happen as long as our War On Drugs hyperinflates drug profits and restricts them to criminal hands.

Just drop a colored smoke grenade down the shaft along with the tear gas problem solved.
