Destroying Mecca would be considered anti-religion and “we” don’t do that. Destroying the pyramids is simply knocking down some buildings as far as the world is concerned. It will be frowned upon but no action would be taken to stop it or to respond in kind.
Liberal intellectuals are very much into cultures and history, I think they will be shocked but will be caught between their adoration for culture and their adoration for political correctness and multiculturalism. I think many would blow a fuse, they just wouldn’t know how to react.
