"VJ: Well, the only reason that we have the unsustainable accounting that we have right now is because incinerators, dumping grounds, and sacrifice zones were put where poor people live. It would never have been allowed if you had to put all the incinerators and nasty stuff in rich people's neighborhoods; we'd have had a sustainable economy a long time ago. We'd have had a clean and green economy a long time ago. It's the environmental racism that allowed the powerful people in society to turn a blind eye for decades to the downsides of the industrial system that got us to this point

Well ..... If you put the incinerators and dumping ground where the rich people live, then the rich people will simply move and the poor people will move into their homes.

So you will have taken nice homes and handed them to people who didn't earn them. (Think Gary, Indiana, Detroit, Michigan, etc, etc.) You see, Vannie, poor people live where rich people don't want to live. If you spread out the garbage, you just end up with a bigger garbage pit. If you doubt this, you can just look at the sterling environmental record of the Communist Bloc countries in Eastern Europe. Like Romania for example.

Oh, you could confiscate what the rich people have, but pretty soon you'd run out of whatever they had, and you wouldn't have anybody working to make more.

It's like that sage philosopher Frank Zappa once said - "Communism doesn't work because people like to own stuff."
