Think about your statement. Think about what Obama has done since elected. Think about 4 more years of Obama.

We are where are with Romney; he is no one’s pick here. A viable conservative was not a choice we had to pick from this time.
But we have an election coming with 2 choices.

You have to be totally out of touch with reality to let Obama get one more vote than he should.

My analogy is of a airliner. Our country is the airliner. In 2008 it was flying through a really nasty storm; one of the engines knocked out and some other systems were damaged. But it was flying straight and level and was making it's way to smoother air.
All of a sudden in November 2008 a bunch of terrorists knocked down the cockpit door. They eliminated the cockpit crew and took over the controls. They now have the airliner in a steep dive; time is running out.
There are passengers who have figured out what is happening and they want control of the airliner back. They aren't Navy SEALS or some other elite well qualified group. But they are determined and they are all that is there.
Should they not try get control back just because they aren't perfect?

Here's a clue for you; delegates necessary to win the nomination - 1144, delegates committed to Romney - 1473. Now I don't know where you studied math, but in my world there is no way for Romney not to be nominated other than people betraying the trust they've been given, or Romney dropping out of the race. The first is unconscionable short of some massively compelling disqualifier and thus will not happen and the second is even more unlikely.

I recall Madden now... Thanks for reminding me. I wanted to kick his ass then. Although he certainly seems less sleazy than Fernstrom.

Bottomline: We nominated a turd. The two biggest weapons to plunge Obama with - Obamatax and the jobs report - and Mittens is jet skiing and unavailable for much comment.

Freeper dissent about a weak candidate is not going to affect the results of an election.
Free Republic is supposed to be a forum where we all have the freedom!!! to express opinions..and that includes criticism of Romney.

If anyone in the Romney camp is paying attention, they can use them to face reality and make positive changes before it’s too late.

Some here have suggested that Mittens and Co. are just laying low to let Bam self destruct..and then they will come out swinging.

Romney and Obama are two sides of the same coin. Sleeze begets sleeze and I’m disappointed that Romney’s character seems to not matter to people like you.

People like me live in reality - Romney may suck in oh-so many ways, but he's not nearly as toxic as Obama. If you want to be a martyr, have fun and go out with a bang by getting Obama re-elected. It would be nice if you could restrict your martyrdom to yourselves instead of going "suicide bomber" and taking the rest of us out with you though.

It’s not just attacks on Palin. The Mittwits attacked Fred Thompson in 2008 and Newt Gingrich in 2012 in the same sleazy manner. The told a lot a lies about good people. How much more “unchristian” does it get?
