I firmly believe by October the serious political discussion won’t even be can Obama win, the serious political discussion will be will the Republicans get 60 Senate seats.

Sure the die hard pundits wills till try to spin the election by that point, but they will be just espousing things they know are not true. Obama, Reid and Pelosi have collectively destroyed the democratic party this cycle.. the damage up and down the ticket will be catastrophic for the party.

Keep an eye on the fundamentals, not the headlines:

Obamas cash machine is gone, donors are abandoning him in droves, he’s already told down ticket dems GET BENT, you aren’t getting any money.. Romney, who is hardly a candidate who is exciting anyone is raising more money.

Obama is being abandoned by down ticket dems, they don’t want to be seen or associated with him... That’s a BIG BIG BIG deal for a sitting president. Having a photo op with a sitting president when you are a local politician in his party is HUGE bang for the buck, free press, fund raising etc etc.. and the lower level dems particularly in the non liberal areas are running for cover from the guy.

Obama really believes the public agrees with him ideologically, he is doubling down on radical liberalism. He truly believes he’s losing and in trouble because he and his party are not embracing socialism STRONG ENOUGH! Look at his advice to dems.. Go on offensive over health care! The guy doesn’t live in reality... The most reviled legislation in my lifetime, and he wants everyone to go out and defend it and us it to attack republicans.

Obama is still trying to attack Romney on Jobs creation.. how rediculous.. the last thing this guy should be calling attention to in any form is JOBS.. he is the only president in the modern era who will end his term with fewer people working than the day he took office... Not a fewer percentage, BUT FEWER ACTUAL PEOPLE WORKING! That’s Obama’s legacy... FAILURE.. across the board Failure and even his own people know it, which is why his record is never talked about.

Romney isn’t a shy wall flower, he’s shown he’s a scrapper.. the primaries proved it. Right now he just has to sit tight and keep pounding the economy, by end of summer when it matters, he’ll have a far bigger warchest, Obama will be on the defensive, and will be wasting what little money he has trying to hold onto traditionally liberal states... As long as the economy is where it is, and obamas record is what it is (and neither are going to turn around by November in any significant way) Obama cannot mount any serious offense, every attempt so far at an offense has has sunk like a lead balloon.

All he’s got is staged gigs with friendly crowds, those swing voters that gave him a chance in 08 have abandoned him.. hell even large swaths of democratic voters have abandoned him.

I know 4 months is a long time in poltics, but the fact he hasn’t even been able to take his one accomplishment, Obamacare and get a supreme court win on it, and turn that into anything shows you JUST HOW BAD IT IS FOR HIM!

He should have bounced 5-10 points with the decision last week, he got a dead cat bounce. That’s his one achievement he can point to, and its dispised by voters of both parties! Hell poll just came out saying 20% of DEMOCRATS agree the bill will increase cost, hurt the economy and not improve health care!... 20% of your own party don’t buy what you are selling on your coup de tat??? You are TOAST.

There will be plenty of staged theatrics to make it seem like he’s got support for the cameras, but fact is, he’s toast.

Don’t forget, the USSC decision just reinvigorated the Tea Party, and most of the democratic senators who voted for obamacare HAVE NOT FACED THE VOTERS SINCE PASSING IT!!!! They are going to get slaughtered.

Real question is, not will the Repubicans win the White House, the real question is, will the republicans get a Filabuster proof majority in the Senate. Jan 2013 House, Senate and White House will be in republican hands... then the question will be, will they use it effectively or not.
