BS.

They set Mitt up as the candidate when McCain’s people decided not to compete against Obama. I’m sure you remember when they decided it was more important to tear Palin down than to tell the truth about Obama.

Romney started by sending his minions out to attack Palin while she was the VP candidate. This election cycle, every single conservative candidate was targeted. Or they had a self destruct mechanism or some experienced advisor they trusted in their campaign sabotaged them. The GOP-e holds all the experienced positions and likes to pretend that if a candidate isn’t listening to them, or doesn’t have them on staff, the candidate is not “serious.” Some candidates thought they could be the GOP-e acceptable Tea Party candidate. They forgot listening to snakes never turns out well and neither does trying to serve two masters.

Things have not changed. Romney and the GOP-e don’t run against fellow socialists like Obama. They only use their time, money, effort and every lie they can pull out of their nether parts to attack conservatives and Mitt did that plenty this election cycle.

Most of us would have stood behind Palin one hundred percent. If the party including the GOP-e really wanted to win, that is what they would have done. If Mitt had told his dogs in the media to keep their mouths shut, most of the trash written about Palin would never have happened. With Palin, there would not have been a clearer contrast with Obama. But Mitt could not have a real conservative standing in his way. Since Mitt didn’t think it necessary to support the conservative VP candidate, I don’t feel it necessary to support that socialist creep Romney now.

It is always “they” that does the things not popular around here with some. Mostly this “they” is just a paranoid fantasy to explain the Right’s complete inability to break out of the 25-30% range of support which it typically attracts.

Palin could have been the nominee but the personal price to her family would have been too high for her to accept. Then after Perry shot himself in the foot repeatedly there was NO conservative capable of beating Romney. Outside of a small group he has never been terribly popular but has been a competent politician capable of winning elections and build support for other Republicans. For some really weird reason (which you may figure out someday) a politician capable of winning almost always beats those who are NOT. No “they” need apply.

Apparently you also labor under some unrealistic view that a candidate in the primary campaigns against his opponent in the General election. Have you forgotten that even Reagan had to win primaries and he had to go after his opponents IN THE PRIMARY first? Nor was there any need for Romney to lie about his opponents, all had sufficient weaknesses, misstatements, baggage and blunders to lose without much help from Mitt.

And, speaking of BS, any claim that MR spent the McCain campaign (or any other time) attacking Sarah is sheer and total BS.

Your fantasy extends to the heights with the idea that Palin would have been able to campaign without senseless attacks on her from the Right. We saw it here before she definitively ruled out running just as we saw it with all the others.

All except the most unrealistic candidate, Cain, were called “liberals”, “socialists” etc., the same kind of crap you are spreading about MR.

And claiming that Romney has control of the media is hilariously hysterical. Are you from DU? That statement would find near-unanimous agreement over there.
