Congressman Allen West blasted Robert Crowder, his Republican opponent in the upcoming 18th Congressional District race. He also took a few swipes at the Palm Beach Post in a scathing letter that the Post chose to publish on July 3rd.

In the letter, West said he would not accept requests by Crowder to debate him. "I refuse to waste the voters’ time by dignifying Crowder’s cynical political maneuvering."

West also explained why he refused to interview with the Palm Beach Post editorial board

West should debate his opponent.

I prefer West, but Crowder is a long-serving sheriff in the area and a fellow US Marine. He is a legitimate candidate and if he is not as knowledgeable on the issues as West, a debate would help, not hurt, West's changes in the general.

He has also supported obammy in many of his fiascos.

Crowder, a moderate Republican, said he’s advocating more compromise to clear up the divisive partisan logjam in Congress... But Republicans voters still remember when Crowder, who said he’s not a “staunch, blind follower” of the party, broke party lines during the race for governor by backing Democrat Alex Sink over Gov. Rick Scott in a TV ad.

Colonel West is running in my district.
Last week the wife and I went to his campaign kickoff at the St. Lucie Civic Center.
Impressive speaker.
