Thanks for the extra information. I agree with you that it sounds like a set up. In any case, it’s not a breach of contract, although the company making the “donation” is entitled to fire the driver for this reason (or in my opinion without reason).

IF the persons attempting to do the ‘hiring’ didn’t explain the entire ramifications of the job, then they themselves might have been in breach of the contract form the git-go.
If I am being hired to do something, I should be told the details.
