Big wakes can be dangerous.
Wake makers should be held responsible for the damage they do.
You ARE responsible for damage done by your wake. In this case though, even if a wake was involved, the operator of the boat generating the wake was probably doing nothing wrong. The Silverton was grossly overloaded and needed very little provocation to become a disaster. Silvertons aren’t the most sea worthy boats out there even in the best of conditions.
