Christians believe in the bodily resurrection, which is why burial sites have always been important. Platonists identify the human soul or spirit with the immaterial aspect of a man, but both Jews and Christians have always emphasized the union of body and soul. A man is not whole without his body.

I look at it as “Man is not whole without his soul.” I feel that we are souls being given a bodily experience.
Huh? Never heard that one before. I was always taught our soul is what goes on not our body.
