The people I would hire the ones with unique skills needed for if and when Americans have to fight I will already have a crew.
I hire people, I pay heed to such things as shortwave operators, military backgrounds, gunsmithing and certain computer skills.
I have no place for the socialistic tripe fed wussies that openly admire socialism. I can tell on a job application to a good degree where a person stands.
I find it ironic that the classic blue collar jobs (plumbing, electrician, carpenter, pest control, excavation, etc) and “red neck” jobs such as gun smithing are infinitely more secure than the information economy jobs and service work promoted for the past 20 years.
As an engineer, one of the best investments I ever made was computer aided drafting coursework. Others worked in “internships” while I worked as a drafter. Helped pay for school AND living expenses.

I would think that criteria would also automatically cut down on those prone to engage in workplace lawsuits at the drop of a hat because of any minute perceived “unfairness”. In other words, you would be hiring fewer children and greater numbers of adults who know how to deal with life as it knocks them about.
I'm former military; and a Computer Science major. (Still can't find a job right now.) -- The gunsmithing is a intriguing, maybe I ought to learn that.
