Well said. At the point where they should have been bludgeoned into submission they will still likely deny the obvious. After several more decades of denial, they will choose up sides and then determine it to be self evident; they have known it all along.
Now, about that "dark" matter and "dark" energy...
Yeah, dark matter, dark energy, what’s next? The dark force? It’s doing work that we can’t detect!
I kid, but I bet you could write a paper theorizing about a “dark force” and get a nice fat research grant.
