Bull!!! There is potential to win 70 seats this fall- 23 are in Democrat hands and are up for Reelection.
All 23 of those Senators now HAVE to campaign with gasoline at 4.00/gal, unemployment at 8.5% and having passed the largest tax increase the world has ever seen, in all of human history, as well as the most comprehensive set of bureaucratic shackles ever crafted, in the history of the world. Yeah and most of them are winning right now by 7+ points. I think even the most optimistic of people would agree that getting to 58 would probably be peak. Flipping 9 or 10 Senate seats in one election is really a monumental task. And the GOP would have to flip 23 as you say to get to 70. It’s not going to happen.
