I’m in the small government crowd also.
I just don’t let it keep me out of the “as much government as we can get away with” when we’re losing.
Which is right now.
The time for the small government argument was back when there were alternatives.
Now the fight is about who will govern. Period.
As long as we keep playing the short game we are going to lose long term. The question is about what sort of world our children are going to live in.
