You're right. The Republic ended on Monday. This was just the first decision of the Post Constitutional Supreme Court.
Did you notice that 2 decisions came down today that affirm that lying is good. The Supreme Court said that it is perfectly fine to lie about war medals you didn't earn and it also stated that it is perfectly fine to lie about legislation to get it passed as the Supreme Court will ignore all the lies that got the legislation before it.
