“gracious” is not exactly the word that comes to mind when Richard M. Nixon’s name is mentioned.

Well it should be, especially when one considers how he was robbed of the Presidency due to vote fraud by LBJ in Texas and the Daley machine in Chicago in 1960.

MANY in the Republican Party (when it still had some stones), were urging Nixon to contest the vote and demand a recount but he refused to do so, GRACIOUSLY choosing instead to concede to JFK, because he believed that America needed the world to know that there was no ambiguity or question about who was the legitimate elected President, especially with the Soviets looking for any and every sort of geopolitical advantage.

So in that aspect, you better believe Nixon was gracious, putting Country above his own personal interests.
