The perfect answer to a hunger strike is to let the strikers starve (I understand from what they said about Terri S that it’s a good way to die). Ignore them as what they choose to eat (or not eat) is none of our business.
Even when a prisoner goes on a hunger strike the response should be to provide them their normal meals. If they choose not to eat them, that is their choice. We should never forcibly intervene. If they want to starve themselves to death then let them.
