Today marked the final death blow to State Sovereignty. States are now entirely subservient to the Federal Government and effectively any law that the States pass will be unconstitutional as long as the President is against it.

If Romney is elected he has promised to “keep the best parts” of Obama”care” and send it back to each of the 50 States, resulting in the Death Knell of each of the 50 States that choose to keep the Obama”care” Death Knell.
Right now there is a 50-50 chance that Obama will get re-elected.

If Obama gets re-elected he will just declare, by Executive Order, that Obama”care” is legal, and thus the demise of America will be accomplished during his Reign of Obamanation.
If THE NINE SUPREMES knock down ANY part of Obama”care,” then Senate Minority Leader Son-of-a-Mitch McConnell and Esteemed Sobber-of-the-House Boehner will rush to replace the Court-damaged parts of America’s Death Knell.
The only possible positive outcome will be to ABOLISH FOREVER Obama”care.”
America cannot afford to continue Federal programs to buy votes with debt that we charge to our Grandchildren.

Consider, though, what would've happened had Roberts stood with Scalia, Alioto and Thomas on the Arizona SB 1070 decision.
The outcome then would've been a 4-4 tie. Which would've left the 9th Circuit court's decision standing intact -- and the entirety of SB 1070 declared unconstitutional.
Did he vote as he did in order to salvage what he could? I don't know. But it makes for a certain logic...
Do you have any idea what philosophy of constitutional interpretation Roberts and Kennedy were using? I expect the liberals to just do what they feel like, but what in the world did Roberts base this on????
My only hope is that he felt like being some kind of parent, so he doled out a win for them on this so he could give a loss to them on ObamaCare.
It is insane that the court just decided that American law is subject, not to the letter of the law or even to the spirit of the law, but to presidential whim.
