White House spokesman Jay Carney issued the following statement in response to the Egyptian presidential election: "The United States congratulates Dr. Mohamed Morsi on his victory in Egypt’s Presidential election, and we congratulate the Egyptian people for this milestone in their transition to democracy.

 

 

Double, triple LoL on that one. Those people in that part of the world have no concept of "democracy" or anything like it and one crummy little excuse for an election changes nothing in that regard.

Fitting that phony Ed Koch, the former NYC mayor and allegedly a staunch supporter of Israel, announced his wholehearted support for Obama's re-election today: the very same day that the Muslim Brotherhood won the Egyptian presidency thanks to the work of none other than Obama and his pro-Islamist pals in Washington.

Inane as it sounds, Koch claims that Obama has become pro-Israel since that NY special congressional election where the Republican Bob Turner, endorsed by Koch himself, pulled an upset in Weiner's former district.

The MSM seems to be echoing the Obama White House's enthusiasm about the new Egyptian president and the new Egyptian "democracy," emphasizing that he is an American-educated engineer. Of course, in the Islamic world, one who is Western-educated can often be committed to the destruction of Western society.

The Obama people might have envisioned this back in 2009, when Obama himself gave that infamous pro-Islamist speech in, ironically, Cairo. They certainly did their part in helping it to happen.
