Man jailed for threatening South Park writers (Muhammad in a bear suit)

A Muslim convert from New York has been sentenced to 11 and a half years in prison after admitting threatening the writers of South Park over their depiction of the prophet Muhammad.
Jesse Curtis Morton, 33, alias Younus Abdullah Muhammed, ran a website that encouraged Muslims to engage in violence against perceived enemies of Islam.
In February he pleaded guilty to making threatening communications, using the internet to put others in fear and using his position as leader of the Revolution Muslim organisation's websites to conspire to commit murder. The sentence was handed down in a federal court in Alexandria, Virginia.
The US attorney Neil MacBride said: "Jesse Morton sought to inspire Muslims to engage in terrorism by providing doctrinal justification for violence against civilians in the name of Islam. His crimes not only put people's lives forever in danger, but they also chilled free expression out of fear of retaliation by violent terrorists."
Morton worked on website postings with Zachary Chesser, of Virginia, who pleaded guilty in October 2010 to sending threatening communications to the South Park writers and to other charges. Last year Chesser was sentenced to 25 years in prison, and Morton was arrested in Rabat, Morocco, and brought back to the US.
He admitted helping Chesser in taking repeated steps in April 2010 to encourage extremists to attack the writers for an episode that depicted Muhammad in a bear suit. Most Muslims consider any depiction of the founder of Islam as offensive.

Morton also conspired with Chesser and others to solicit the murder of an artist linked to the Everyone Draw Muhammad Day movement in May 2010. There was a "Everyone Draw Muhammad Day" and I missed it? Dang!

Will they now be going after Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, Spike Lee, Roseanne Barr and the New Black Panthers for their open incitement of violence and/or death to George Zimmerman?

I want to see the New Black Panthers go to prison for posting a reward for the death of George Zimmerman. Not a peep from Att’y Gen’l Holder. The least he should do is indict the New Black Panthers, but I guess it’s hands off against black perps.

If he plays his cards right, by the time Zimmerman gets through with the Panthers in civil court they won’t have a shabaz left to p*** in.

Who was it who coined the phrase “Islam is a religion of peace”? Was it Bush? Where did he get that nonsense? Mr. Bush, give me ONE frickin’ example of that! What you are saying is the exact OPPOSITE of the reality-it is a pathetic suck-up statement that reeks of cowardice, and here is el primo example of how wrong that statement is: South park which has made fun of almost every religion there is, Chrstianity, Judaism, Buddhism, Scientology, Hinduism, Mormons, Hollywood liberalism, even witchcraft, satan worshippers, on and on, made fun of it’s leaders, prophets, Gods, idols, followers and the ONLY religion which has reponded with death threats is ISLAM! WTF is so frickin peaceful about it?

Of course not. Liberals are exempt from the law don’t you know. If I was Zimmerman I would sue the living effin balls off crap out of those idiots, but I doubt he will for the simple fact that he’s the exact opposite of how the media portrays him.

The kicker they didn’t note in the article is it was never Mohammed. It was Santa Claus in the bear suit.

J. Christian Adams said that Hokder put out the word that there would never be any charges brought against blacks for civil rights violations. He said it wasn't possible for there to be a civil rights violation by a black against a white. The media called Adams a liar over this statement but Holder has certainly redeemed Adams credibility, hasn't he?

I would like to see Zimmerman sue NBC, Hokder, Obama, the Prosecutor, the judge, the previously mentioned individuals and anyone else involved in this scandal and I'd like to see Derschowitz represent him in the action.

South Park chickened out, and didnt put the false prophet in like they were going to.
Apparently Comedy Central decided to bleep out every reference to Muhammad's name in episodes 200 and 201 and also blacked out the images of Muhammad used in 201. If you check South Park Studios, episode 201 (Season 14, episode 6) is also blocked there due to lack of network approval.
I don't know how much control the South Park guys have over the characters they created for the show - maybe they can't legally offer an uncensored episode 201 in any format. But yeah, it doesn't say much about a commitment to free speech if the only subjects you can criticize are the ones who don't threaten violence.
To: MinorityRepublican
Shouldn’t this case be called the ‘Muhammad in a bear suit suit’?
