One amendment would set up “pilot projects” to encourage school districts to purchase locally produced food. The other gives the federal Department of Agriculture authority to make loans to “gleaners.”

I’m so disgusted with this farm bill and I really haven’t even followed it.
I believe Wyden and Merkley are idiots. School districts should focus on buying from those that offer the best prices or get surplus food.
As far as making loans to gleaners, that’s just pathetic.
