Scientists last week with all of the necessary equipment, and a deep sea diving team, pretty much conclusively answered the question and solved the mystery of what it is. Sorry folks it wasn't a UFO as some theorists had hoped.
After evaluating all of the data and images retrieved from the site they determined that it was a giant flush valve flapper.
They'd better not touch this thing! If they raise it up, they'll flush the entire Baltic Sea!
