Why did NBC not air the most damning part of Jerry Sandusky-Bob Costas interview?

In fairness, there are not any non-damning parts of that interview.

I sorta feel for Sandusky's lawyer.
The way our legal system works, you can't get a valid conviction of Sandusky unless an attempted credible defense is made.
His lawyer has to be able to point to some effort on his part, when the conviction is appealed.
But he really seems to be just conjuring up some silliness for appearances and probably can't wait to see the pig hauled away from him for the final time.

Re your post 14, I’d say go back to “Douglas Edwards with the News” (1948-62) for a non-biased, straight-forward presentation of television news.

Surely you jest. Tom BrokeJaw? Brokaw was clearly a biased liberal, but he was less blatantly biased than Dan Rather or Peter Jennings.
In the immortal words of Rodney Dangerfield, "if you want to look thin, you hang out with fat people."
If you want to look unbiased, you hang out with Dan Rather or Peter Jennings.

Couldn't the prosecution have used this video in the trial? I guess they didn't know about it? Just damn.
This whole thing stinks and I wonder what the prevalence is on other college campuses with "programs" for troubled youth.
Expose and jail them all!

The liberal elistists want to be able to rape men and boys at will. That is what the aggressive homo agenda is about.
NBC did not air that self incriminating part of the interveiw because they are symapthic to the homo rape of boys. They support the adoption of boys by homos and the homo sex clubs in the schools for the same reason.
Anyone who believes the elitists’ sex revolution is going to stop at forcing the public to say approval slogans about homo sex, are nuts. It is going to progress to the demand that we approve of violent sex against women and children. This is why liberals so love Islam. They barely mentioned their own reporter being ravishly sexually abused in Egypt by Muslims. They are pushing unhealthy porn sex in the schools on other people’s children for a reason.

Obama honored Sandusky by naming June National Gay Pride Month...
Good point, 0bama was just metaphorically giving a shout out to his 'homoies'.

they are terrified of offending all the homosexuals
100% correct - my bet is homos are the majority in a lot of news and broadcasting, plus advertising.
I remember when homosexuality was considered a mental disorder which automatically disqualified someone from obtaining a security clearance, working with kids, any sort of sensitive work, and there was a reason for that: homosexuals are notoriously emotionally unstable and many of them are easily blackmailed by those who are capable of detecting and exploiting such a flaw in their mental processes.
That standard was effective and trustworthy for decades, but pop psychologists and pro-homo advocates managed to get that classification of 'mental disorder' tossed out, and we can see the impact, those of us willing to see it that is.

Couldn't the prosecution have used this video in the trial? I guess they didn't know about it?The prosecution didn't timely know about it. The existence of this little nugget was either posted on msnbc.com or somehow picked up by the social media around the beginning of the trial.
However, the prosecution has asked NBC to turn over and authenticate full transcripts of the phone interview that Sandusky did with Bob Costas last November (it wasn't a video; it was a phone interview). They may use it at trial if Jerry Sandusky testifies.

...So its entirely possible that you couldve helped young boy A in some way that was not objectionable while horribly taking advantage of young boy B, C, D and E. Isnt that possible?Yes, it is. A Boy Scout leader in my old troop was arrested for child sex crimes long after I was in Scouts. I never had any contact with the guy, thank you Lord.

It wasn’t straight-forward and non-biased back then. Anyone recall the most famous “newsman” of the time Edward R. Murrow?

Can't disagree, but he was on CBS. The original poster was speaking about NBC.

OK, but I thought we were only saying that television newscasts back in the 1940s and 1950s were more honest.
Thanks for the reference on Douglas Edwards. We in Alabama were quite proud of our “home boy.”

The driving force for most liberals is how can they increase their odds of having sex with either gender and if by force if necessary. Morals are out the window and promiscuity is celebrated by the left even in if its criminal.
