LOS CABOS, Mexico -- President Barack Obama on Monday called the results of Greece's election a "positive prospect" with the potential to form a government

"I think the election in Greece yesterday indicates a positive prospect for not only them forming a government, but also them working constructively with their international partners in order that they can continue on the path of reform and do so in a way that also offers the prospects for the Greek people to succeed and prosper," Obama said after a meeting with the G-20 Summit's host, Mexican President Felipe Calderon.

Was this on a teleprompter? Sounds a bit disjointed even for him.

How does this really change anything? There is no way the Greek people are gong to accept the responsible economic measures that Germany is demanding before they will agree to bail them out again. Let the riots begin!

I’m betting the riots begin before this fellow who just got elected can even assemble a governing coalition (thank you, Founding Fathers, for not adopting a Parliamentary system)

I would imagine, it was a spontaneous comment. He employed the usual despicable grammar. I cannot wait until we are well rid of the danger, insult and embarrassment of this man.

Do you realize how impossible it is to be wrong about everything?

Obama carries it off with great aplomb.

He is simply NEVER right about anything.

Instead of “partners” I think the teleprompter should have read “hosts” or “victims”. It’s obvious: Greece is the parasite, and Germany is the victim.

The basic question is how long Merkel and her fellow liberal Germans can subsidize Greece and the other socialist free riders, particularly the other PIIGS.

In a stunning development, Greece agreed today to continue accepting free money from Germany and Norway.
