And I wonder what the people who contributed to his 'defense fund' will think when they learn they paid off all of Geroge's bills, from his credit cards, to a loan from his mother, to Mrs. Z's nursing school tuition, etc. The only bills not paid were the water bill and car insurance ... because Mrs. Z could not do that online.

I am hoping that the people will realize that George Zimmerman and his family have ongoing expenses associated with just living. And since he lost his job as a result of the media exposure and lies, his defense includes paying these bills, meeting bail, and the costs of living in hiding.

To me, this is exactly what these contributions were intended for.

I would far rather pay for his living expenses now, while he can't, than have the money go to a lawyer, who got into the case for its publicity value and who will be handsomely rewarded by his percentage of the damages for the libels inflicted on Mr. Zimmerman.

In fact, I would love to see a "George Zimmerman general expenses fund". I would support him by contributing more to this than to a defense fund.

Exactly right. I see not problem with him paying bills with the money. Money is fungible.

And what job was that? Everthing I've read has led me to believe that he was unemployed at the time of the shooting.

In a ‘sane’ country, we would not only pay off his bills, but give him a medal for his injuries in defense of his neighborhood.
