Although I think it is over-diagnosed, are you suggesting that depression is NOT a medical condition? That, if you try hard enough, a person can just undo it?

Depression is real, and a result of (pick one) [childhood environment/alcohol-abuse/drug-abuse/poor self-esteem/the choices you have made in life].
When I started 'doubting' medical opinion is when they came up with Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD).
Is everything a “medical condition”? I was arguing the other day with someone who insisted that drug addiction is an illness just like any bacterial or viral illness.
Read my comment above. Not everything is fixable with pharmaceutical drugs. Free will is amazing stuff. Choices have consequences. Not everyone is born the same, either physically, mentally or emotionally.
