Nixon was only guilty of looking guilty. There is real questions to the validity of Deep Throat and the tapes really didn’t show anything that wasn’t done by both parties all the time.

That would be John Wesley Dean, IV(?)’s wife Mo or Maureen being possibly a hooker. Another suspected motive was trying to find the “Gemstone file” which had something to do with the reclusive Howard Hughes (he of the long fingernails and Vegas rooftop/penthouse lair).
