Statements from The Daily Caller regarding exchange in White House Rose Garden
The Daily Caller ^ | 6/15/12 | The Daily Caller

Posted on 06/15/2012 4:36:19 PM PDT by Nachum

Neil Munro, White House Correspondent: “I always go to the White House prepared with questions for our president. I timed the question believing the president was closing his remarks, because naturally I have no intention of interrupting the President of the United States. I know he rarely takes questions before walking away from the podium. When I asked the question as he finished his speech, he turned his back on the many reporters, and walked away while I and at least one other reporter asked questions.” (VIDEO: Reporter explains his Rose Garden exchange with Obama)

Tucker Carlson, Editor-in-Chief: “I don’t remember Diane Sawyer scolding her colleague Sam Donaldson for heckling President Reagan. And she shouldn’t have. A reporter’s job is to ask questions and get answers. Our job is to find out what the federal government is up to. Politicians often don’t want to tell us. A good reporter gets the story. We’re proud of Neil Munro.”

Neil Patel, Publisher: “The President today announced a very controversial policy and does not want to answer tough questions about it. Neil Munro is a veteran Washington reporter who today tried his best to time his question to be first as the President was wrapping up his remarks. He in no way meant to heckle the President of the United States.”

Idi Obama reacted to the question as though the stress is really starting to get to him. He looked and acted like an angry young black man. That’s enough to short circuit even Chrissy Matthew’s tingle.

What that reporter did was just awful. It has never hap... wot? Yes, Mr. Donaldson. You want to say something? F*** who? Reagan?! You set the standards for dealing with Republican presidents a generation ago?

“I guess it’ll be on my tombstone,” Donaldson muses. “He yelled at Ronald Reagan.” Donaldson became famous for shouting questions at the Gipper on the White House lawn in the ‘80s, before cable news made confrontational reporting the standard.

Very glad to see Neil Munro getting support from his editor and publisher.

Obama’s words to Munro on first encounter:

“This is not the time for questions, sir. Not while I'm speaking”

It seems there was no time for questions after the boy president completed his statement either. He turned his back and walked away while questions were being asked.

That's the Chicago Way.

It reminds me of how affronted Bill Clinton was as the beginning of his administration when one of the media wrote something or said something even slightly critical of him, but his point was different. He was thinking, “Hey, we’re all Liberals here, you should be supporting me and giving me cover.”

In Obama’s case, it’s his malignant narcissism. He just can’t believe that anyone would be so rude and gauche to question him to his face — especially not the media. As far as he’s concerned, their only role is to worship at his feet and tell everyone how wonderful he is.

RE: "[Obama] looked and acted like an angry young black man"

On lookers report seeing a mob of African-American youths assembling near the White House -- others report rumors of a massive flash mob gathering requested from the White House. . . .

:)

Obama is having a meltdown! How un-presidential! Never saw a President lose his composure like that.

Do you think he’s strung out on something? Or hungover from last night’s elite fundraiser? Or maybe he just had a bad week? Whatever, the pressure is getting to him.

It appears to me that Obama stopped short of saying, “These young people are going to make extraordinary contributions … to my campaign.” but caught himself and instead continued with “and are already making contributions to our society”.

Yep. This might be a foreshadowing of the meltdown that so many have predicted.

I don't say that I've predicted it myself because so many others have predicted it. I can only say that I'll be watching... which will be enough for me.

I remember back in '93, Brit Hume asked Clinton an embarrassing question. Clinton totally went off on Brit, next thing you know, Brit was kicked off the WH press corps(e).

Same thing was said about Clinton many times over

Never happened

Clinton had a problem when Brit Hume had the audacity to ask a tough question at a Presser

Got booted from the WH Press Corps

As far as he’s concerned, their only role is to worship at his feet and tell everyone how wonderful he is.

He is under the delusion that he is King.

"King George commands, and we obey...

The voters need to send him "Over the hills and far away!"

It's about time someone in the media noticed that Emporer Obama has no clothes.

This reminds me of the Lazio/Clinton debate when he approached her and the media took to its collective fainting couch.
