I tracked the number of squirrels I killed over 4 years. 500+. I didn’t eat every one, but every one was eaten. I can’t eat them anymore. I made squirrel pot pie, squirrel jerky, squirrel bbq, and squirrel everything else. Enough.
I grew up with a pecan orchard in my back yard. Squirrels were aplenty. Between my brothers and me we took thousands (I have 5 bros). We ate every one and often squirrel meat was the only meat on the table.
