I am betting that at LEAST 10% (maybe up to 25%) of those union members are lying to the pollsters out of fear.
I have a friend whose dad is a union member. She says he is TOLD where to go and protest, and who to vote for...but in his heart, and in his voting booth, he is a conservative.
I am betting there are a lot more like my friend’s dad.
Hubby is a retired firefighter, 33 yrs. His union always supports dems but the majority of its members are conservatives. It has always been that way here.
I have some Union literature from the 08 election that was sent to members telling them who to vote for in CT. I will have to find that.
