Liberals can’t stand the war/patriotic references in the SSB. If they could write a national anthem, I’m sure it would be all about diversity, unions, universal health care, and gay marriage.

The Star Spangled Banner is a beautiful tune when played with the dignity and respect it deserves. Not like these clownish freaks who have sang it at past sporting events.

The national anthem simply tells the story of both our flag and country. How IRONIC in the 200th anniversary of the start of the war of 1812 this is even being a subject at all.

President Obama NEEDS to go, PERIOD!

It is a major crusade of mine to get rid of the Star-Spangled Banner.

It is stuff like this that I DO end questioning the patriotism of liberals.

A short correction to post number 18, “ I do end up questioning” the patriotism of liberals.

“For Mr. Obama, this is part of a lifelong pattern. As a teen, he willingly associated himself with the Communist, Frank Marshall Davis. As Grove City College professor, Paul Kengor, Ph.D., has shown in his book-length treatment, Frank Marshall Davis was a strong influence on the young Barack Obama, an influence that Obama himself acknowledged in his first memoir, Dreams from My Father.”

I am VERY SURPRISED that Grove City College, which is a VERY DEVOUT Christian college, DID NOT throw professor out on his ears.

“Press adds: “It is a major crusade of mine to get rid of the Star-Spangled Banner. Now I know you’re going to say I am not a true American, I’m not patriotic. I don’t think patriotism has anything to do with it. The National Anthem is just absolutely monumentally un-singable. I mean there’s so much wrong with it. I don’t know where to start. It’s an abomination.”

Then Mr. Press did not hear what I consider the best, all time presentation on the national anthem, sadly, we lost her early this year, the late Whitney Houston’s presentation of it which showed the different vocal levels of her presentation, the way it should be sung.

We must NEVER have another administration like the one we have now. The anti-Americanism is abundantly palpable and may be remembered as the one that finally set the US toward hard balkanization along social, political, and religious ideologies.

Sadly the national anthem is not easy to sign especially with some arrangements. I would far rather have a musical arrangement of the Star Spangled Banner played with dignity than to have it butchered by someone who cannot sing it.

From my experience in high school and college marching bands the arrangement chosen makes a difference. The most devilish one to play is an arrangement by John Phillip Sousa and Walter Damrosch. However, I ran across an arrangement by Felix Vinatieri, who was band master for Custer's 7th Calvary. This arrangement is short, dignified and would be ideal for sporting events plus it is steeped in American history. A CD with this version of the national anthem and other works composed by Vinatieri played on musical instruments from the 1870s is available here.

(Liberals worrying about the 'high notes' of our National Anthem is almost laughable. The Libs that sing it; do it 'for profit'/personal gain. Do the rest of the Libs in Liberal Land, even know the words to this anthem? Do they ever sing it? Stand for it? Celebrate it? Of course, they do not.)

No question; the 'Land of the Free' is an annoyance; and Home of the Brave; must make them miserable.

The worst rub for these Liberals, is of course; ". . .that our flag is still there". ..

Personally I do find the Star Spangled Banner hard to sing.

I have a personal preference for Irving Berlin's GOD BLESS AMERICA or George M Cohan's YOU'RE A GRAND OLD FLAG, or even the old patriotic COLOMBIA THE GEM OF THE OCEAN!

And for a anthem without words what could be better than John Phillip Sousa's STARS AND STRIPES FOREVER!

How about a choice of the fIVE depending on the occasion.
