Rep. Tom McClintock (R-CA) introduced three amendments to the recently passed Energy & Water appropriations bill that would have eliminated a slew of business subsidies at the Department of Energy. Unfortunately, House Republicans once again teamed up with their Democratic colleagues to keep the corporate welfare spigot flowing.

When are they going to start taking things seriously? If we can't pass this in the House what hope do we have? Excuse my French but things like this just boil my piss.

We need a roll call of the vote. Call out these RINOS and rid them once and for all.

Steve Ellis from Taxpayers for Common Sense alerted me to an amendment introduced by Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) and McClintock that would have shut down the Department of Energy’s Title 17 loan guarantee program. That’s the program that gave us Solyndra. The amendment failed 136-282 with 127 Republicans joining 155 Democrats to defeat the amendment. That the Republican-led House couldn’t get rid of the program that begot Solyndra is about as low as it gets.

Boehner must go...Romney is making Solyndra a legitimate campaign issue, and Repubs can't kill the very program that funded it. WAY TO GO!

I just wonder when Tom McClintock is going to finally give up and move to New Hampshire. I was frustrated as hell and I didn’t even have to go to work with those bastards in Sacramento every day.

Voting for him was the last ballot my wife and I cast before leaving the state.

I’d take it those with a grant recipient in their district didn’t want to vote against it?

Would be interesting to hear their explanations.

Paul Ryan voted yes. It was a democrat Ryan that voted no.

That’s the only logical explanation, but once again these politicians on our side are still being bought and paid for. Sickening!

My mistake. Had a case of the red mist when I was looking at all the (R)s.
