(Left-wing Loon) Pete Stark's Days in Congress Might Be Numbered

Pete Stark's days in Congress might be numbered

The nearly four-decade reign of Rep. Pete Stark, D-Fremont, is about to end.

Stark finished first among three candidates in the 15th Congressional District, but the message of discontent with his boorish and increasingly erratic approach to his job as a public servant could not have been louder.

Nearly 59 percent of voters in the freshly realigned district preferred someone other than Stark: 36 percent for Eric Swalwell, a 31-year-old prosecutor and Dublin City Council member, and 22 percent for Chris Pareja, an independent who ran a spirited low-budget campaign.

In years past, Stark could have brushed off this rejection and gone home to suburban Maryland knowing that he was good for another two years in Congress.

But the new "top two" runoff process will mean that fellow Democrat Swalwell can continue his challenge to November - and the narrowness of the result is likely to bring him an abundance of contributions and attention.

Stark's primary campaign consisted of two phases. In Phase I, he actually campaigned, and made a succession of embarrassing gaffes - such as falsely accusing Swalwell of taking bribes from developers, and suggesting the bankrupt solar firm Solyndra made high-priced cars. In Phase II, he practically went underground, ducking reporters and public forums.

Phase III could well be his last stand.

Maybe he and nutty Nancy Pelosi can share a padded room at Napa St. Hospital up the road in Imola.

Yes, the voters in his district prefer a much younger liberal lunatic to replace the aging liberal lunatic Stark.

The insane and arrogant Stark might be the absolute worst among the assorted human detritus that infests the US Congress.

And THAT, is saying a lot.

Loonies in Fremont will just elect another loony. I always wondered how he could not be committed to an institution.

It will be a great piece of news to hear that this scumbag goes down. Remember in all the excitement on Election Night 1994 when they announced that “Fort Worthless Jim Wright” and his “We only want to hep you” ash was thrown out of office? Hearing this POS losing will be just as much fun!

Yikes! Good call.

How could I forget about Lee, and the other abjectly ignorant goons in the CBC.
