I’ll be thinking about you guys. There is no way I can make it this time.
Did I get the right location?
Lunch out?
But Friday Night margaritas and nachos sounds good too.
Someone please bring a bag of ice! A big one...LOL
FReepmail on the way.
I’ll be there if at all possible!
Yes, you definitely want to go to the one just north of downtown next to the stockyards.
DrewsDad,
According to the http://joets.com/ website, you transposed a couple of numbers in the address. The website also indicates that there is one original Joe T Garcias and 2 Esperanza’s (named after his daughter). Here’s the info from the website:
Joe T Garcias
2201 N.Commerce St.
Fort Worth, TX 76164
817-626-4356
MAP: http://maps.google.com/maps?oi=map&q=2201+N+Commerce+St,+Fort+Worth,+TX+76164
Esperanzas Restaurant & Bakery (#1)
2122 North Main Street
Fort Worth, TX 76164
817-626-5770
Esperanzas Restaurant & Bakery (#2)
1601 Park Place Ave.
Fort Worth, TX 76110
817-923-1992
So at which one will we meet? Ms. AntiFeminazi is thinking the Joe T Garcias at 2201 N.Commerce St., Fort Worth, TX 76164
That’s the last location mentioned so far on the TX state board.
Ping or FReepmail me, please.
Thanks,
RT
Ok, now I see how it is - you tell me on the state board that we’re meeting at the one on Commerce, but then you tell everyone else it’s the one on Main, - no wonder I never get to meet up with y’all, LOL.
Just kidding - Joe T’s on Commerce and Esperanza (#1) on Main are just a couple of blocks apart - both near the stockyards, haha.
No wonder there’s confusion, heheh.
Let’s make it Joe T’s on Commerce, unless someone objects.
What say y’all?
Joe T's on 2201 N.Commerce St.
Sorry for the confusion. They wanted $99.95/day for exhibitor internet access at the convention center.
I hope to see ya Saturday at 11:15AM.
Texas FReeper gathering ping!
Lunch gathering in N.Texas on Saturday at 11:15...info is upthread
Hope some of ya can make it. (sorry for any duplicate pings)
Oh no! I didn’t know about Esperanzas. I google mapped both addresses and I’m pretty sure Joe T’s on Commerce is it. I don’t pay much attention to the street names when I’m down there.
We will have a good time no matter as long as we all show up at the same place! So sorry for the confusion, RebelTex!
I love that downtown area in Fort Worth with all the restaurants and shops.
Lots of atmosphere and outdoor dining.
I am going to try and make it to Joe T’s......how will I know who everyone is?
LOL - Joe T’s on Commerce it is.
BTW, according to the History on Joe Ts website, Esperanza’s Bakery & Cafe was named after Joe’s youngest daughter, Hope.
“As Hope’s children began to grow up, new ideas and jobs were created for family members. A small bakery and cafe was added one block from Joe T.’s. The cafe was named after Hope, Esperanza’s Bakery & Cafe. This small neighborhood cafe was totally different from the original restaurant, with a varied menu serving breakfast and lunch. Along with its big brother, the little cafe grew in size and popularity. Because of this venture two new divisions were created, Esperanza’s Wholesale Mexican Bread Division and Joe T. Garcia’s Bottled Hot Sauce Division. However, even with all of the new divisions and new cafes, the family’s first love is Joe T. Garcia’s Mexican Restaurant.”
"I am going to try and make it to Joe Ts......how will I know who everyone is?"
LOL - look for me, I'll be wearing a black cowboy hat, black boots, grey goatee, and dragging an oxygen tank along.
If you see 2 or more guys that look exactly like me, then you've already had 1 too many beers, heheh.
thanks RebelTex...I’ll find ya!
I’ll say......he looks like a handful:)
Looking forward to meeting you both and of course everyone else.
