too bad Israel doesn’t have the 5th amendment
If they were just following British common and equity law, they’d have the Doctrine of Laches. If they were just following Turkish statute, they’d have the Land Reform Act of 1861. But instead, they have what ever idea enters the head of High Court judges recently, and the only weapon against that, the Knesset, is supposed to lie idle in the hands of a supposedly right wing PM.
I’d say to the ministers, vote for it, and to hell with your Cabinet post. Vote against it, and you’re both an accomplice to ethnic self-cleansing, and a whore. Vote for it, and you’re a hero dismissed from an unworthy government.
