Fast Eddie Rendell let the cat out of the bag way back in June ‘09; the enormous stimulus package was designed to prevent public sector layoffs, i.e. Obama repaying the $500m union contributions to his ‘08 campaign with $500b in borrowed money to be paid off by everybody else. No real point of asking what coulda, shoulda, woulda happened, the results are in and it was an economic non-starter. His economic program was a failure and that’s all the facts the public should need to vote him out.
