Former DNC chair says Obama has "excellent" record on job creation
(CBS News) President Obama has an "excellent" record on job creation, a top Democratic strategist said Monday, beating back a barrage of criticism from Republicans over flagging job growth.
Former Democratic National Committee Chair Terry McAuliffe noted that the U.S. economy has created jobs for 27 straight months after hemorrhaging 750,000 jobs a month when Mr. Obama took office in the midst of the financial crisis of 2007-2009.
"Anyone in politics would like to have great economic numbers. I would make the argument that we do have excellent numbers on job creation," McAuliffe said in an interview with "CBS This Morning" co-host Charlie Rose.
The Labor Department on Friday said the unemployment rate rose a tick to 8.2 percent and the economy added just 69,000 jobs in May, sending the benchmark S&P 500 index of stocks plunging to its lowest level since early January.
Romney, GOP hammer Obama over sluggish economy
McAuliffe sought to tie Mr. Obama's rival, presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, to his predecessor, former President George W. Bush.

Here’s what Terry is doing now (Hint: green “jobs”)
The Democrats are going into “Kafka Mode” now.
And which party had full control of the House and Senate during these years???
Anyone?
Anyone?
Bueller?
War is peace. Freedom is slavery. Ignorance is strength. Obama’s created jobs.
czars + staff and wifes entourage to start
One has to wonder when mcauliffe started sniffing glue. Had to have been either before or after he stopped lying to his wife.
This clown has never told the truth in his life.
On what planet does a negative number = job creation?
Bizarro World, thats where.
Looks like Terry picked the wrong day to stop sniffing glue.
lol
when Bush was president and the unemployment rate was at 4.5% these same idiots were claiming it to be the worst economy since the great depression.
This is the same genius who, after the GOP siezed the Senate in 2002, said, “This is a wake up call for GWB..”
His vast intellect was too much for the DNC so they brought in Wasserman-Shultz..
well, let’s give credit where credit is due, he has created a plethora of federal czars.......
To get the fundamental essence of that statement just imagine him saying that just after huffing a balloon full of helium.
Where’s Howard Dean been keeping himself?

Sep 2, 2011 No Jobs Created Last Month. The U.S. government reported that zero net new jobs were created last month. The unemployment rate remained ...
And campaign workers.
Re: Former DNC chair says Obama has excellent record on job creation....
I needed a good laugh this morning.
How do these people sleep at night!!!
The American economy SUCKS.
People that had full time jobs with benefits now have part time jobs with no benefits.
People with part time jobs that were working towards getting full time employment now are told that will never happen
3 full time employees retire and the company hires 6 part timers. Job growth!
Democrats invented creative math, and they are experts at using it. If Bush were still president, and given a conservative Congress, unemployment would be at about 6 percent now, and the creative math would have the world ending. As it is, real unemployment is in double digits, and no one knows how bad it is. The economy teeters on the brink, with every incident that occurs in the world causing panic and fears that all is lost, but leftnut, creative math steps in to save the day. Obama, who is a frigging idiot, has suddenly done something to create jobs. It’s like learning through osmosis, no work, no effort, no sacrifice, just instant enlightenment. ...Then poof, it’s gone.
