Lap 218 — Jeff Gordon isn’t waiting around for anybody. He’s already 1.2 seconds ahead of Jimmie Johnson. It’s more than five second back to third-place Kevin Harvick.

Lap 211 — Jeff Gordon is finally able to take over the lead from Jimmie Johnson. Johnson just pulled over to allow at the end of the backstretch to allow the move to happen unchallenged.

Lap 207 — Third-place Kevin Harvick is 2.6 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 205 — Kyle Busch goes straight to the garage.

Lap 203 — Smoke has begun to billow out from under Kyle Busch’s car.

Lap 200 — Jimmie Johnson is the winner of today’s Nationwide Series race. No ... wait. That was yesterday. We’ve still got another 200 laps to go!

Lap 194 — Jeff Gordon seems to be content riding behind teammate Jimmie Johnson. The margin between them has been stable at a few car lengths for several laps now.

Lap 183 — Dale Earnhardt Jr. is about 2.1 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson. He’s got Kevin Harvick not far behind him.

Lap 179 — Jeff Gordon is within 4/10ths of a second of leader Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 177 — Hey! Good ol’ Bowman Gray Stadium is getting some love on Fox’s broadcast.

Lap 173 — Kyle Busch took the restart in 19th place. That’s where he’s running right now.

Lap 170 — It’s a Hendrick Motorsports sweep of the top-three spots for the time being.

Lap 169 — GREEN FLAG: Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Kevin Harvick and Matt Kenseth are the top five. Johnson clears easily for the top spot.

Lap 168 — Kyle Busch is back on pit road.

Lap 166 — The leaders are on pit road. Kyle Busch will have to pit again to tighten all the lugs.

Lap 164 — YELLOW FLAG NO. 3: Carl Edwards slaps the wall in Turn 2.

Lap 160 — Kevin Harvick finally clears Kyle Busch in their battle for third place.

Lap 159 — Kevin Harvick gets a nose under Kyle Busch for third place coming off Turn 4.

Lap 158 — Kevin Harvick is fighting Kyle Busch hard for third place. Here ... hold my watch!

Lap 156 — Jeff Gordon has closed to within about 1.5 seconds of teammate Jimmie Johnson for the lead.

Lap 153 — Don’t tell Joey Logano about D.W.’s miscue, because we all know who holds the microphone in that family, right?

Lap 150 — Darrell Waltrip just forgot Joey Logano’s name. Ooooops.

Lap 148 — The top five is currently Jimmie Johnson, Jeff Gordon, Kyle Busch, Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin.

Lap 145 — Dale Earnhardt Jr. is shown in eighth place. C’mon, Joooooooon-yer!!!

Lap 140 — Jeff Gordon blasts past Kyle Busch for the runnerup position.

Lap 139 — Kyle Busch now trails leader Jimmie Johnson by about three seconds.

Lap 136 — Jeff Gordon dives under Kevin Harvick for third place in the treacherous Turn 2.

Lap 133 — One thing’s for sure. The cockpit of Mark Martin’s car is much, much different than when he first raced here. And that’s a good thing. A very, very good thing.

Lap 130 — Kevin Harvick and Mark Martin nearly make contact coming down the backstretch as Harvick takes over third place.

Lap 127 — Further back in the back, Ryan Newman and Brad Keselowski are having a hard time getting around Jeff Burton.

Lap 332 — Jimmie Johnson is having a hard time putting a lap on Jamie McMurray.

Lap 330 — Matt Kenseth is in second place, 3.6 seconds behind leader Jimmie Johnson.

Lap 329 — Jeff Gordon is listed in 19th place, one lap down.

Lap 324 — Jeff Gordon is pitting, in hopes that he can cycle back into the lead without a caution. He should be able to go the rest of the way without stopping again.

Lap 321 — Fourth-place Dale Earnhardt Jr. is 11.6 seconds behind leader Jeff Gordon.

Lap 318 — The gap between first and second is back down to 4.2 seconds. That’s not exactly door to door, but still ...

Lap 311 — Jeff Gordon has dropped the hammer. He’s more than five seconds ahead of Jimmie Johnson and 7.5 in front of third-place Matt Kenseth.

Lap 307 — Jeff Gordon’s cushion over Jimmie Johnson is about 4.6 seconds.

Lap 300 — One hundred laps to go. The leaders after the stops are Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Brad Keselowski.

Lap 298 — Denny Hamlin pits.

Lap 297 — Dale Earnhardt Jr. comes onto pit road.

Lap 296 — Matt Kenseth makes his stop.

Lap 295 — Jimmie Johnson gives up the lead to pit. Kurt Busch is also making his stop.

Lap 294 — Joey Logano, Clint Bowyer, Aric Almirola and others are in.

Lap 293 — Martin Truex Jr. is pitting.

Lap 292 — Greg Biffle is on pit road.

Lap 291 — Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski and AJ Allmendinger are pitting.

Lap 290 — Carl Edwards has been told to pick up the speed on his car.

Lap 285 — Jimmie Johnson is on cruise control, 3.7 seconds ahead of Matt Kenseth.

Lap 279 — Ryan Newman is reporting a piece of debris on the track, but inspectors in the area say it’s clear.

Lap 277 — Aric Almirola is having a fairly solid day in seventh place.

Lap 272 — Jimmie Johnson has eased out to a three-second advantage over Matt Kenseth.

Lap 270 — Saturday’s Nationwide Series winner, Joey Logano, is running in sixth place.

Lap 267 — After his mistake entering the pits, Kevin Harvick has been moved back up to ninth place.

Lap 265 — The top five are currently Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin and Clint Bowyer.

Lap 258 — Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn’t far from being able to make a move on Matt Kenseth for second place.

Lap 255 — Jimmie Johnson leads Matt Kenseth by about 2.2 seconds.

Lap 252 — Matt Kenseth is now running second, Dale Earnhardt Jr. third.

Lap 251 — Jeff Gordon is on pit road.

Lap 249 — Jeff Gordon says that somehing “weird” is taking place with his car. Off Turn 4, he appears to slow even more.

Lap 244 — Jeff Gordon moves up the track in Turn 4 and lets Jimmie Johnson make the pass for the lead uncontested.

Lap 243 — Clint Bowyer continues to slide back through the field. He’s given up fourth to Dale Earnhardt Jr. and fifth to Mark Martin.

Lap 240 — Matt Kenseth motors past Clint Bowyer for third place.

Lap 236 — Jimmie Johnson slides under Clint Bowyer to take second place in Turn 2.

Lap 234 — Jimmie Johnson is looking to get back under Clint Bowyer for second place.

Lap 232 — GREEN FLAG: The leaders on the restart are Jeff Gordon, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Clint Bowyer and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Kevin Harvick starts 19th.

Gordon is clear for the lead, with Bowyer taking over second place from Johnson.

Lap 228 — The leaders are back on pit road.

Lap 226 — YELLOW FLAG NO. 4: The caution is out for debris on the frontstretch. Teams will be given an extra person over the wall for the driver and windshield.

Lap 224 — Ryan Newman is pitting. That’s a little bit early for the next cycle of green-flag stops.
