Yep, the #’s have sure been down on these threads, eh? My excuse is that church and family obligations take up most of my Sunday’s during race times. Tivo allows speed-watching (w/o commercials) later Sunday evenings.
We’ve got plans for a much needed vacation to Hawaii, so maybe I’ll see you there...

Yeah, I agree w/vox. Time.

Why watch a race live when 30+% is commercials? NASCAR is still this households #1 sport to view but if I had to watch it live I’d quit watching. The four major networks are suing Dish Network because of Dish’s “Hopper” product. “Hopper” allows you to watch prime-time programs w/o commercials on multiple TV’s in your household.

Business Insider has a lengthy article this morning showing why regular TV viewing is declining rapidily due to iTunes, Hulu, Netflex, etc., and viewing/revenue is going the way of newsprint. We watched the season finale of “Castle” last night on iTunes - $2.99 - excellent quality and no commercials.

We’ll watch the race this evening. If it looks like rain I’ll just add a couple of hours to the DVR.
