But according to the man who broke the Gunwalker story a year and a half ago, threatening letters to Speaker Boehner might no longer be necessary.
Sources in Washington, DC have told blogger and citizen reporter Mike Vanderboegh that Republican leaders have already decided to close down the Fast and Furious investigation and halt contempt proceedings against Eric Holder, because they (the GOP leadership) dont think that they will suffer for [that] failure to follow through. Theyre scared of Holders race card. . . theyre scared of Trayvon. They think if they let Issa fail, that it will only be a story in the blogosphere for a day . . . that they can weather it. . . . Unfortunately, Vanderboegh makes it clear that he trusts the word of these sources implicitly.
In short, John Boehner and other Republican big wigs are more afraid of the race card and its steady play by the Obama-owned national media than of the bitter yet presumably briefdisappointment of conservatives, disgusted because the GOP has once again opted for the cowardly betrayal of justice and of the Party base.
[....]
Vanderboegh was certainly right about Boehners work to delay Representative Darrell Issas contempt proceedings against Holder. We should all hope his sources have gotten this one wrong.

Gutless wonders...
Just hand the evidence over to Mexican cops and let them prosecute from there. Jail time is jail time....either in Mexico or the US.
How many other people will die because they have failed to do their jobs.
What fracking cowards.
I agree, if Holder is the one locked up.
I people wonder why I have no faith in anything GOP.
Another stupid party, RINO, GOP-E desperate attempt to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.
It’ll be interesting to see how certain players react to this news, if true.
Issa should resign his position as committee chair — not because he’s done anything wrong, but because there really would be no point in attempting oversight of an administration that really would be above the law. He should then be extremely public about the reasons why.
Meanwhile, the House freshmen should then call for an immediate change of the entire leadership, from Boehner on down. I’m tired of Boehner caving, Cantor prevaricating, and McCarthy, Hensarling and Price doing whatever it is they do.
Congressional investigations find scapegoats and dirt on each other, then they start making deals.
These things need to be taken out of the hands of congress and handed over to randomly selected groups of citizens.
No Balls Boner has to go. Seriously. What has he done except cry and perhaps talk politely about things? He is such an establishment p*$$y.
...thus we should all stay home in November rather than vote for Mittens, or write someone else's name based on "Principles......"
....and shouldn't "concern" ourselves if by doing so, we/they help facilitate the reelection of the most dangerous, eeeevil, corrupt, Hate-America, President this country has ever elected.
Yeah Right!
"Got Kool Aid?"
I agree we need to get rid of that whole leadership structure. I didn’t send my congressman to high school, I sent him to congress. (Mine is a second time freshman)
Personally, I’m on a crusade to reform the republican national committee. The two RINOs representing Michigan were voted out of their seats last week. Interestingly enough, both voted to change the rules the day after the Michigan primary to save Romney the indignity of a tie.
“hand the evidence over to Mexican cops “?
What planet you be living on in Virginia there peppie?
This is nothing but rumor.
There is a lot of work to do. The fish rots from the head, as they say, and without a national structure that is devoted to conservatism instead of to expedience, we’ll never get anywhere.
Republicans will also never get conservative Presidential candidates in this structure, which in this cycle is a crying shame.

The national committee is a good place to start because it takes a pretty small number of people to make the changes in each state. There were only some 2000 people at the convention in Detroit so a coalition of tea partiers, GOP conservatives, and libertarians were able to come together and drive the old guard from power. I have mixed feelings on Terri Land but Dave Agema is really good.
