President Barack Obama "misspoke" when he called a Nazi facility used to process Jews for execution as a "Polish death camp," a White House official told the news agency AFP.
The verbal gaffe came as the president was honoring to a famous Pole, Jan Karski, posthumously awarding him a Presidential Medal of Freedom, the country's highest civilian award.
Karski was a resistance fighter who sneaked behind enemy lines to witness the atrocities being committed against Jews. Obama referred to him being smuggled "into the Warsaw ghetto and a Polish death camp to see for himself," ABC OTUS News reported.
National Security Council spokesman Tommy Vietor, told AFP that the president "misspoke."
"He was referring to Nazi death camps in Poland," Vietor said in the article. "We regret this misstatement, which should not detract from the clear intention to honor Mr. Karski and those brave citizens who stood on the side of human dignity in the face of tyranny."

‘Misspoke’, implies he is aware of the facts and inadvertently expressed himself badly.
Actually, he does NOT know the historic facts about a great deal... and wouldn't HIMSELF know one way or another if he expressed anything properly!
The frequency with which this kind of stuff happens tells us that “O” has monstrous gaps in his understanding of some of the most basic and fundamental information that anyone presuming to lead this country OUGHT to possess and should be able to readily and naturally articulate, as second nature... These ‘gaps’ are NOT just information about historical facts either!!!

Obama’s Kenyan father was of the Luo tribe, ancestrally connected prominently and directly with African slave trade.

Muslims encouraged warring tribes, Obama Jr’s Luo ancestors included, to capture “prisoners of war” and sell them into slavery. The Luo were one of the largest players in this, for profit to their king/chief.
Kenya tribe leaders, also exported slaves and ivory that had been exchanged by Africans from the interior for salt, cloth, beads, and metal goods. The slaves were then marched to the coast and shipped to Muslim Zanzibar (an island South of Kenya), to be traded again through Arab/Jewish traders to European shippers to the various country’s colonies.
African slaves and ivory became hugely profitable and Zanzibar Muslims grew rich on the trade. Slave trading continued despite the public outrage in Europe demanding an end to all slave trade.
The British, eventually brought their forceful anti-slavery message directly to the Muslim Sultan.
Many people know that Democratic presidential candidate Obama Jr’s father was from Kenya and his mother from Kansas. Obama’s African side relatives never were brought here into slavery, because that family and their muslim partners were the ones rounding up the African natives as slaves.
I don’t think he should apologize either. But people need to know who people are and where they are from, including their Marxist links. Marxism is quite supportive of slavery to the state, the state replacing the plantation of course.
IOW, you have no evidence at all that Obama’s ancestors were slave traders.
Only that some of his maternal ancestors may have owned slaves, and his paternal ancestors were members of a tribe that engaged in slave raiding.
Actually, it’s kind of a false analogy. If you go back far enough, every single one of us is descended from slaves, from slave-owners and probably from slave traders.

Yes, there are several investigative stories out there on Obama’s family history. His family background was Muslim. He has no connections to the dominant Christian Kikuyu tribe there. His ancestors were slave traders who were rewarded by Queen Victoria with permission to live in the British colony of Kenya.
There was some speculation that these ancestors were actually Arab Muslims, not black, but that seems doubtful to me, from their appearance. At most I would think any Arab ancestors must have been in the minority.
As for apologizing for one’s ancestors, I only mention it because of the double standard among the politically correct. All white people need to apologize. And many black activists switched from Christian to Black Muslim, not seeming to realize that the original slavers were, in fact, mostly Arab and black Muslims in Africa, who sold captured Africans to ship captains.

This is inaccurate, insofar as the Atlantic slave trade goes.
Muslims, Arab or black, were at best marginally involved with this trade, as the entire coastline was controlled by powerful pagan African states such as Dahomey and the Ashanti. They did not allow Muslims from the interior to bring their slaves to the coast for sale.
No doubt some of the slaves sold by the coastal peoples were originally captured by Muslims in the Sahel, but the coast peoples were the ones dealing with Europeans.
There was a major African slave trade for many centuries by Muslims, but it was across the Sahara to North Africa and from East Africa to the Middle East and India. Few if any of these folks made it across the Atlantic.
